The Green Cross Spain Association promoted the European Mobility Week 2014 campaign to increase the impact of citizens.
The Green Cross Spain association launched this project to promote the European Mobility Week (SEM) 2014 campaign, which has sought to raise awareness about sustainable mobility and increase the actions linked to it, as well as increase the impact among citizens.
The actions carried out have served to support the organisation of the European Mobility Week 2014 (SEM), whose responsibility for the promotion, promotion and coordination in Spain is the Directorate General for Environmental Quality and Assessment and the Natural Environment, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment.
The beneficiary entity has promoted the 2014 campaign “A better street is your choice” through the creation of the www.movilidad-sostenible.es website, on which all the documents and information related to the campaign have been posted. A Twitter and Facebook account was also activated to increase the dissemination of the campaign. In addition, within the framework of the project, the database of the entities adhering to the campaign has been managed, as well as the registrations for participation in the SEM 2014 awards.
The initiative has also promoted Spanish participation in the “Do the right mix” campaign for the ‘Sustainability Urban Mobility Plans’ (SUMP) award and the European ‘European Mobility Week Awards’.
Among the activities developed within the framework of this project, in addition to those already mentioned, the following stand out:
- Promotion of debate and exchange of opinions in forums and 2.0 spaces on the Internet.
- Dissemination of the actions and events at an international level, thanks to the Green Cross network present in more than thirty countries on five continents, and preparation of monthly bulletins of the campaign.
- Public presentation of results within the framework of the National Congress of the Environment, Conama, held from November 24 to 27, 2014 in Madrid.
