Agriculture, and the habitats it has modelled, provide spaces for a multitude of birds whose populations are suffering a sharp decline. The abandonment of the countryside and the use of intensive systems have led to a progressive loss of the habitat necessary for the long-term maintenance of the populations of many species of birds.

The AgroSOStenible project aims to reproduce, especially in areas included in the Natura 2000 Network, agricultural exploitation systems that favour the bird species dependent on these habitats through advice and collaboration with the farmer, support to access the aid they can obtain to increase sustainability in their fields, and awareness and training regarding the mutual benefit that can occur between birds and agriculture.

AgroSOStenible has been conceived as a project that aims to reconcile the rural environment, in clear decline, with the maintenance of biodiversity and the conservation of the birds that depend on it.
