The objective of this project is to identify rivers for cataloguing them as Natural River Reserves and to analyze the existing ones.
With this project, Ecologists in Action seeks to identify rivers for cataloguing them as Natural River Reserves and to analyze the existing ones.
To this end, within the framework of the project, sections of rivers with little or no human intervention that could be declared Natural River Reserves in the Guadiana and Segura Hydrographic Demarcations will be studied and identified in a participatory way. The resulting study will be disseminated to the relevant administrations and entities in each of the demarcations.
On the other hand, the results of these studies will be disseminated among the media and the results obtained will be presented to all interested and affected sectors in these two demarcations.
Other activities of the project consist of the organization of a seminar on the conservation and management of River Nature Reserves in Spain, with the participation of the competent administrations, social entities and affected sectors. The seminar will also be disseminated to the media.
