A project for the conservation of the landscape, the restoration of enclaves and the improvement of ecological connectivity in freshwater habitats.

The Regional Cultural Association Cabaña Real de Carreteros executes this project with the aim of conserving the landscape, restoring enclaves and improving the ecological connectivity of habitats linked to fresh water in the Pinares region, through the promotion and promotion of environmental volunteering and citizen participation.

The project “Volunteering rivers, Pinares region” will improve the conservation of the landscape and the ecological connectivity of natural aquaculture environments such as rivers, riverbanks and wetlands of at least twelve municipalities and towns in the region of Pinares and the Ebro and Duero basin, in the provinces of Soria, Burgos and La Rioja.

Likewise, the participation of around 240 volunteers is promoted for the development of environmental improvement and awareness actions, in addition to informing and educating 600 people of all ages about the importance of protecting our river heritage.

Among the activities that will be developed within the framework of this initiative are:

• Landscape conservation and river connectivity works and ecological restoration of rivers, riverbanks and wetlands
• Diagnosis and evaluation of the state of our rivers
• Information and awareness-raising activities
