The project aims to implement initiatives to promote the structural change of the production model in the Natura 2000 Network spaces, taking into account environmental, social and economic sustainability criteria that mark development policies at national, European and global level.
The areas of action are made up of natural spaces belonging to the Natura 2000 network existing in the Region of Murcia and in the provinces of Alicante and Almeria, as well as their area of socio-economic influence.
This initiative is aimed at workers in SMEs, micro-SMEs and self-employed professionals related to the agri-food, renewable energy, rural tourism and environmental education sectors.
The execution of this project is structured in three phases:
– The first phase consists of carrying out a general study in the different territories, which will begin with the collection of population data or studies at the socio-economic, environmental and labour level that may have been carried out previously. With all the data, a report will be made on the selected territories in order to be able to act with specific initiatives. Simultaneously, the Sustainable Development Agent (SDA) course will begin.
– In a second phase, and after a selection among all the workers and entrepreneurs who have completed the ADS course, mixed advice will begin and act on them according to the results obtained from the previous study.
– In the third phase of the project, a plan will be drawn up for the evaluation and monitoring of the results obtained as a result of implementing the different Sustainable Initiatives for Employment. To this end, an ISEM (Sustainable Initiatives for Employment) Monitoring Centre will be created, made up of the different social agents residing in the protected areas as well as the Associations, Cooperatives and Companies that support this project by adhering to it, involving the different Administrations in their management plans for the areas that are included in the project.
The project contemplates the figure of the Advisory Council of the Entities Adhered to ISEM, composed of a member of each of the entities Adhered to the project. The purpose of this figure is to be able to reach the recipient more easily and quickly through these entities and to disseminate the different actions.
