Green jobs in a green economy. The case of Spain.

Empleaverde program

The project seeks to give international visibility to the knowledge and experience accumulated in Spain in the field of green employment.

The project seeks to give international visibility to the knowledge and experience accumulated in Spain in the field of green employment.

To this end, a case will be studied that will be disseminated nationally and internationally, taking advantage, among others, of the meetings related to the Climate Change negotiations and the preparatory appointments for the Rio+20 Summit on Sustainable Development. On the other hand, it will contribute to the dissemination of the report “Green Jobs: Towards Decent Jobs in a Sustainable, Low-carbon World”, which will be translated into Spanish.

In short, it is a matter of contributing to global research and dissemination on green jobs, particularly in the research of the sectors with the greatest potential for their creation or transformation, and giving international dissemination to the various research carried out in Spain.

The specific objectives are:

  • Collaborate in the edition of materials related to the second global study on green jobs “Green Jobs in a Green Economy”.
  • To give visibility to studies on the reality and experiences of Spain in terms of green jobs.
  • To disseminate internationally and in Spain the results of global and national research in this field.
