The main objective of this project is to contribute to the training of workers in the capital goods sector in energy saving and efficiency concepts to apply the knowledge in their own activity, as well as to train them to offer energy services to third parties.
The initiative proposes the development of various actions aimed at promoting energy saving and efficiency in industry, both in the companies in the capital goods sector themselves, and by offering energy services to other industrial sectors, in order to improve the sustainability of Spanish industry and promote the creation of jobs with an environmental profile. To this end, the project includes training actions and studies that will promote the creation of jobs in the sector, as well as more efficient energy consumption in Spanish industry.
On the one hand, it is aimed at internal energy managers who implement measures that reduce the energy consumption of companies in the capital goods sector.
On the other hand, external energy managers, which allow traditional capital goods companies to transform or develop a new line of business as an energy services company, allowing them to improve the energy efficiency of other industries.
All this will contribute to an improvement at the environmental level of industrial activities, as well as to provide greater stability at the economic and employment level of a sector affected by the current economic situation.
The expected results under the project are the training of 40 target audiences, although the project will reach a total of 640 workers; also the adoption of new energy saving and efficiency practices in at least 5% of the companies whose employees have been recipients of project actions.
