The PROGRESA project focuses on improving environmental management in companies through training and advising on environmental problems that are detected.
PROGRESA aims to reduce the ecological footprint of SMEs and micro-SMEs, introducing the concept of Ecological Footprint (HE) as an indicator of sustainability and, more specifically, the Corporate Ecological Footprint, which arises with the aim of determining the surface area necessary to be able to maintain the consumption and generation of waste made by SMEs and micro-SMEs.
The target audience is workers and entrepreneurs of SMEs and micro-SMEs, as well as self-employed workers in waste management and treatment, renewable energy and non-profit organisations. In the same way, those workers who belong to the transport and automotive sector, as well as to the construction sector, will be addressed, as it is considered a sector with special difficulty.
The expected results focus on the training of 80 recipients, although the project will reach 270 workers; the improvement of waste management in SMEs and micro-SMEs, thus reducing the corporate ecological footprint; and the establishment of the foundations for integrated environmental management in the creation of new SMEs and micro-SMEs.
