The recent appearance of the three regulatory pillars of energy saving and efficiency in buildings, embodied in the Technical Building Code, the Regulation of Thermal Installations in Buildings, and the Royal Decree on Building Certification contribute to the reduction of energy consumption in buildings. To this end, it is essential to train workers in the installations sector in the knowledge of methods, standards, certifications and systems for measuring energy savings and efficiency in buildings.
With the development of this initiative, employment in the environmental sector will be promoted and improved by influencing energy saving and efficiency solutions, adapted to the specific regulations of the Technical Building Code; Installers will also be trained in the use of mandatory computer programs to measure energy efficiency.
The fundamental objective of EFINNOVATE is to train workers of installation companies, as well as self-employed professionals in methods of saving and energy efficiency in buildings, with special emphasis on their development in the new Technical Building Code. The aim is for professionals in the sector to be able not only to carry out installations using renewable energies and energy saving methods, but also to carry out measurements and carry out energy saving studies and inspections using the computer tools designed for this purpose.
The target audience of the project is the workers of electrical installation companies, SMEs and micro-SMEs. Also self-employed professionals in the plumbing, gas, heating, air conditioning and related installation sector.
This project seeks to train 300 recipients, although it will reach 675 workers, the redirection of the activity of installation companies towards the implementation of energy saving systems and methods in DHW, plumbing and air conditioning installations; and the creation of new lines of activity and the hiring of experts in energy saving and renewable energies related to the installations.
