The general objective of the Improvement Business – Close the cycle is to create and promote jobs and green companies around eco-design for recycling by promoting new products, new lines of business or new businesses that follow the logic of industrial ecology, reincorporating waste from its environment into the production cycle.

The general objective of the Improvement Business – Close the cycle is to create and promote jobs and green companies around eco-design for recycling by promoting new products, new lines of business or new businesses that follow the logic of industrial ecology, reincorporating waste from its environment into the production cycle.

To this end, the focus is on increasing the skills and qualifications of workers, employers and entrepreneurs. In this way, the project, in addition to creating jobs and green companies, contributes to workers and companies being key actors in the improvement of the environment and in the sustainability of development, by promoting a cultural change in our country: considering waste as quality and useful goods for other companies and citizens. The project thus has a positive impact on competitiveness, modernisation, innovation and the promotion of sustainability in companies.

The recipients are mostly workers in productive sectors of the secondary sector, that is, who carry out an industrial or artisanal process of transformation of raw materials into manufactured products. Some of the recipients are workers who come from trades related to repair (e.g. shoemakers), and also from services related to eco-design.

The training of 40 recipients is expected even though the project reaches 195 workers and the creation of 15 companies in the ecodesign sector.
