The “InVeR, Invest in Green” initiative seeks to promote the creation of companies and the consolidation of new lines of business in companies in the environmental sector, through action in four axes, over twelve months.

The “InVeR, Invest in Green” initiative seeks to promote the creation of companies and the consolidation of new lines of business in companies in the environmental sector, through action in four axes, over twelve months.

The first of the axes is communication, aimed at promoting the creation of companies with a clear environmental vocation, to develop private investment activity in the field of green industries and to promote the figure of environmental business angels, as a source of financing for industries in the green sector.

Within the framework of the project, a campaign will be organized to disseminate InVer and identify environmental business angels. A forum will be held where seven entrepreneurial projects will present their proposals to an audience of environmental business angels.

The second of the axes is training. A training focused on entrepreneurs who want to create new companies in the green sector, or new lines of business, to train themselves to face an investment process (Investment Readiness) and to know the tools and operational processes necessary to face this process, as well as in the application of best environmental practices available for the environmental management of the company.

The third pillar is advice and support for negotiation in the creation of new companies, aimed at entrepreneurs and environmental business angels who want to undertake an investment process with the aim of creating new companies in the green sector, developing new lines of business with a clear environmental vocation or implementing environmental improvements in their processes and/or services.

Finally, the programming of a Network action, which will be incorporated into the Emprendeverde Network, and of which the recipients of the project will be part. The Network will stimulate activities, offer advice and provide information and support to the Emprendeverde Network.

The actions are aimed at three main target groups:

• Entrepreneurs who want to start the creation of a company linked to the green sector or who want to boost new lines of business, for which they require financial support from business angels.
• Managers and workers of companies in the environmental field who intend to improve their processes, adapting to aspects such as environmental waste management, decarbonisation and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions or the reduction of energy consumption, among others.
• Business angel investors who want to invest in new companies or new lines of business.

The expected results of the project are:

• Training of 150 recipients, although the project will reach a total of 517 workers.
• Implementation of good environmental practices and Investment Readiness processes in 30 companies.
• Creation of seven companies or new lines of business.
