The initiative will serve to promote a set of activities, in order to increase the skills and qualification of workers with an activity linked to the use of solid biofuels. It is also intended to promote the modernization and innovation of companies in the same sector.
The initiative will serve to promote a set of activities, in order to increase the skills and qualification of workers with an activity linked to the use of solid biofuels. It is also intended to promote the modernization and innovation of companies in the same sector.
Likewise, information will be transferred that promotes the use of agroforestry biomass as a sustainable energy source and tool for the economic promotion of rural areas, with the associated improvement of employment in the sector. This increase in employment will be linked both to production and to the transformation, marketing and distribution of the product, the reduction of the risks of forest fires and in general to rural development. All this is aimed at promoting the development of economic activities linked to a sustainable energy model.
The target audience of the project is workers, managers of SMEs and micro-SMEs, self-employed workers and agricultural workers belonging to the following sectors:
- Agroforestry: professionals linked to forest management in general, foresters, forest biomass professionals (auctioneers and processors of forest biomass).
- Wood industry: workers in the wood and wood processing industries, both in the first and second wood processing.
- Services: professionals in the marketing of forest biomass and the installation and maintenance of forest biomass consumption centres (boilers and stoves).
- Environmental sector of sustainable construction: architects, quantity surveyors, builders, carpenters, etc
- Educational.
The results that will be achieved with the project are the following:
- Training of 110 recipients, although the project will reach a total of 765 workers.
- Creation of a company linked to the bioenergy sector or the agroforestry sector.
- Implementation of two new agroforestry biomass facilities.
- Implementation or adaptation of an agroforestry biomass logistics centre.
