The main objective of the Cap al Mar project is to increase the skills and qualifications of workers related to the marine environment in the fields of surveillance, protection and conservation of species.
DESCRIPTION:
Collecting, shellfishing, baiting, pollution or poor navigation practices are impacting marine habitats with their associated species, the vast majority of which are plants and invertebrates. Some of them are very vulnerable to the above impacts but due to the ignorance of the general public and, in some cases, of the competent authorities, they continue to go unnoticed.
Therefore, courses aimed at learning about these species, their importance and vulnerability, and analyzing protection and conservation measures are necessary. Especially for recipients from the security forces and bodies that work to ensure legality in terms of surveillance and protection of the marine environment and that in order to fulfill their functions it is necessary to have knowledge of protected species, especially those that are threatened by actions such as collection or illegal trade and sale.
