The project is aimed at advancing Andalusian sustainable development from the local perspective, through the shared commitment of the workers of social economy companies in the incorporation of responsible public procurement criteria in their operation, thus improving the quality of life of citizens.

The execution of the project will allow:

• To complement the field of action of the program “Responsible Public Procurement from the Local Administration 2009-2011”, which will be initiated by the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces aimed at training and advice on ethical, environmental and social responsibility of supplier companies to achieve a brand of sustainable excellence.
• To promote the eco-efficiency of this business fabric in its production systems.
• To improve the competitiveness of these companies in the face of new possibilities in responsible public procurement and to facilitate the creation of new companies with responsible products and services.
• To train the staff of Andalusian social economy companies for the incorporation of eco-responsible models and the acquisition of environmental values.
• Contribute to the improvement of local public services.
