To influence the valorization of bycatch, i.e. accidental catches including discarding, from trawling in the regions of Murcia and Andalusia with the aim of reverting to an environmental benefit.

This initiative has contributed to improving the health of ecosystems and reducing the economic cost of catching per unit of effort, assigning an economic and environmental value to bycatch, reducing discarding and advancing in sustainable co-management of fisheries.
