OBJECTIVE: Prioritisation of actions and efficient use of European funds for rural management and development in the Natura 2000 Network aims to improve the employability of workers in the conservation and rural development sector through training in the identification of priority actions to be carried out in the Natura 2000 Network and in access to European funds.
DESCRIPTION: The Natura 2000 Network accounts for 27.3% of the land area and 8% of the marine surface in Spain. The challenges faced by its management, together with the limited economic and human resources available, require prioritising actions and improving access to financing channels and collaborative formulas, which are not always known to the professionals working at Natura2000. The project will provide a common methodology to prioritise actions and train in access to the sources of European funding available in each Autonomous Community. It will provide collaborative work methodologies to make the use of human and economic resources more efficient. These aspects will allow the professional progression of the recipients, promoting the maintenance of their jobs. The development of the MAP and objective 8.1 of the Strategic Plan for Natural Heritage and Biodiversity will be favoured by promoting the mobilisation of financial resources for the proper management of Natura 2000.
