OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to promote entrepreneurship and improve employability in the organic apple production sector in Red Natura areas, and to expand and improve the cultivation and quality of organic apple production in Red Natura areas.

THEME: The theme of the project is sustainable agriculture and livestock.

DESCRIPTION: To increase and optimize the cultivation of organic apples in areas of the Natura Network, tools and face-to-face training are made available to the unemployed, to work on the implementation of organic apple crops, as a result of research experiences. The training focuses on the study of the adaptation to local conditions of resistant varieties and some of the main commercial varieties, pest and disease control, the development of practical itineraries to reduce the alternation of harvests and obtain fruits of good caliber and quality, management of weed covers to limit competition from spontaneous vegetation and promote the conservation of natural enemies. It is about having management alternatives that allow obtaining an apple of the highest quality produced with respect for the environment and health, within the framework of an agroecological orientation.
