OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to improve the professional skills and abilities of the unemployed to achieve their labor insertion in sectors of the green economy such as forestry, natural spaces or activities related to the exploitation of local resources.
THEME: Although the training activity focuses on the forestry sector as it is one of the main market niches for green employment in the target area of Castilla y León, the Social Innovation activities will cover other sectors related to green employment.
DESCRIPTION: The general objective of this initiative is to promote the sustainable and socio-economic development of areas of Castilla y León and Asturias that are currently in transition, especially those affected by the closure of the mining sector and auxiliary companies. These economies need a decisive push to train and reorient the unemployed population, while at the same time fixing the population and promoting local socio-economic development. The project aims to:
– To provide the necessary skills and abilities to the unemployed to encourage their relocation in sectors of the green economy (forestry, leisure, crafts, etc.).
– Promote the reactivation of economies in transition affected by the closure of large industries and SMEs, fixing population and promoting socio-economic development at the local level based on endogenous resources.
