OBJECTIVE: To improve the employability of unemployed people interested in the field of activities in protected areas

DESCRIPTION: The project is aimed at unemployed people interested in strengthening their training in incorporating adaptation to climate change in the management of protected areas, as well as in other activities related to these territories. Emphasis will be placed on ensuring that the project’s actions reach recipients living in rural areas and protected areas (municipalities linked to the Natura 2000 Network, Biosphere Reserves, Ramsar Wetlands, Geoparks, etc.). The project consists of:

a) 4 distance training actions on the application of climate change adaptation measures in protected areas and in their socio-economic areas of influence:

– A course will be held for Castilla-La Mancha, Murcia, the Canary Islands and Extremadura.

– Number of recipients: 20 per year in Castilla-La Mancha, Murcia and the Canary Islands and 15 students in Extremadura

– Number of hours: 70 hours remotely through e-learning platform

b) A mixed accompaniment action in Madrid aimed at labour incorporation in the field of adaptation to climate change and protected areas.

– Number of recipients: 15

– No. of hours: 16 face-to-face + 15 distance learning (through e-learning platform)

For the development of this action, there will be external professionals who are experts in green employment.

AIMED AT: Unemployed people in the Region of Murcia, Canary Islands, Castilla – La Mancha, Community of Madrid and Extremadura
