At UPTA we are developing the project “Training and social innovation for the promotion and generation of green jobs in areas at risk of depopulation”, approved within the framework of the Empleaverde Programme, of the Biodiversity Foundation, of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and co-financed by the European Social Fund.
The main objective of the project is to:
To use training and social innovation to alleviate rural depopulation, detect needs in each territory and seek the necessary solutions for the revitalization of its economy, always respecting the rural environment and sustainable development.
The recipients of the project are:
Workers with the aim of improving their employability and obtaining a qualification.
During the project, the following actions will be carried out:
First, a training course will be held:
Social economy and the environment in rural areas. In Madrid.
Various social innovation actions will also be launched in different territories, as indicated below:
- Development of the social economy and self-employment in rural areas. In Castilla y León and Madrid
- Workshop on street vending, search for employment opportunities and generation of a network of local markets and their significance. In Castilla y León and Madrid.
- Workshop on sustainable tourism and local development. Creation of offers based on the participation of different actors in tourism premises (accommodation, hospitality, nature guides, sports, etc.). In Madrid
