IEEB Community of Practice: “A European market free of deforestation: challenges and implications for the business sector”

April 21, 2023-10:00h. - 12:00h.

The new European Regulation against deforestation and forest degradation will affect all those companies in the European Union that import, produce, process, market or export certain products derived from seven raw materials: oil palm, soy, cattle, wood, coffee, cocoa and rubber. Among other obligations, they will have to implement a due diligence system to demonstrate that their supply chains do not contribute to deforestation or forest degradation.

With the aim of raising awareness of the challenges and implications arising from this new regulatory framework, we are holding this webinar in which we will also share real cases of due diligence, developed within the framework of the European Timber Regulation (EUTR), which may be useful for the other sectors and companies affected.
