The complex labour insertion of young people and the lack of generational replacement in the primary sector are one of the main challenges and priorities for the local and regional administrations of Navarre. In Navarre, as in other rural areas of Spain, the trends marked by globalisation are producing a precariousness of the labour market, the reduction of profitability and the closure of farms and consequently a loss of population and attractiveness of these areas.

• Strengthen the agricultural and forestry sectors, training young people capable of bringing innovation, sustainability and generational renewal to the sector and support, with this strengthening, the survival of rural municipalities in which they are located.
• To improve the employability of the users participating in the different actions through active entrepreneurship processes.
• Generate projects that have a positive impact on the environment where they are being developed, hand in hand with the participants.

Main actions of the project:

• Action 1: Activation. Several open innovation processes will be carried out with Vocational Training students. The students will work solving environmental challenges posed by local companies in the wine and livestock industries of Navarre.
• Action 2: Explosion of the Network, an event in which multiple Vocational Training students from Navarre will participate. The action is based on an open innovation event in which several working groups compete to generate a solution for a specific challenge.
• Action 3: Classroom selection workshops. Different processes of this type will be carried out. These workshops aim, after having already carried out several actions to improve skills and activation with young students, to select the people who will start the network of young people who will dynamize the agricultural sectors and at the same time rural territories. At the same time, we will take advantage of the work in the centers to carry out methodological transfer workshops to teachers.
• Action 4: Stay and internship. A rural immersion experience that combines curricular internships in companies in the wine or forestry sector, the development of projects that respond to real challenges and the stay and integration in a rural municipality that is at risk of depopulation. The people who participate in this program will live a total immersion experience, in which they will be able to sleep in spaces prepared for it, they will consume products and services from the host towns and they will work with companies in these towns.
