PRTR Call for Proposals Project
NaTURTURia’s main objective is the environmental and hydromorphological recovery of the Turia River as it passes through the town of Quart de Poblet. To this end, it addresses the conservation and rehabilitation of riparian ecosystems in a Mediterranean river affected by periodic floods.

The project. It will apply nature-based solutions to promote the resilience of the ecosystems in the intervention area against episodes of floods and floods. In addition, the project encompasses its actions in the ARPS-0022-Bajo Turia area, where the problem of anthropic pressure and the occupation of the river space stands out. The actions are aimed at improving all the impacts and risks that the mass presents, both morphologically and hydrologically, and that may affect the bed, the banks, the occupation of the river space or the presence of invasive species.
Some of the actions included in this project are:
- Management and control of Invasive Alien Species.
- Design and execution of actions to adapt and stabilise margins.
- Recovery of river space.
- Recovery of original or potential riparian vegetation.
- Design and creation of a green filter around a spillway.
