The project focuses on the restoration of the natural bed of the section of the Cortecero stream -definitively urbanized in the last decades of the twentieth century, after the flood of 1989-; the recovery of associated biodiversity and ecosystems; the creation of new green areas for stays and flooding next to the banks that serve both for a better integration of the stream in public use and perception, as well as for greater response capacity in times of floods and the elimination and adaptation of transversal barriers and hydraulic bottlenecks. In this way, the aim is to achieve the adaptation of the city to extreme phenomena in a context of climate emergency.
