Alternating training project for 30 unemployed people with a duration of two years divided into two training itineraries. People will be trained in Sustainable Gardening in Rural and Tourist Environments, and in a complementary way, some of them will be trained in Ecological Tourism and Green Entrepreneurship through two professional certificates (AGAO0208: Installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas and AGAO0108: Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers) and two training specialties (HOTU0002-Ecological Tourism and Green Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship in Cultural Industries and Creative). Through the project, it is expected that the 30 people will be hired for 24 months as “Gardening and Tree Technician” in the Municipal Nursery and in the Green Corridor of Baena.

The objective of this training is to contribute to establishing Sustainable Infrastructures for Education and Production of the Baena Railway and the southern slope of the wall, at the foot of the castle, through a training and employment proposal. To this end, we propose that these areas be physically and functionally connected through a Green Corridor with a series of landscape interventions that generate a natural flow between both points. This project, called “Baena Green Corridor: Integrated Training for Employment and Urban Revitalization”, is aligned with the ecological transition and labor transformation promoted by the EU.

The project seeks not only to improve the skills and employability of participants through practical and direct training in new green trades, but also to contribute to local economic development and the reduction of rural depopulation. In addition, the project will include the recovery of a municipal nursery that will serve as a center for sustainable practices. This nursery will allow participants to directly apply the skills acquired in a real work environment, thus facilitating labor insertion and promoting entrepreneurship in sustainable economic activities related to gardening and landscape management.
