To develop a new line for the treatment of footwear waste from different streams to obtain quality materials that can be used as raw materials in other industrial processes. Taking into account that the INSERTEGA entity does not currently have a specific line of footwear treatment, the results sought with the project are:

– Increase the treatment capacity of the plant from 0 kg/h to 1,000 kg/hour.

– Reduce the amount of footwear sent to landfill by 60%, which means going from 2,000 kg of waste sent to landfill in a week to 250 kg. Currently, INSERTEGA, as it does not have a specific line of footwear, recovers 20% of what enters its plant through reuse or its subsidiary EQUORE.
