PRTR Call for Proposals Project
The company TEXIA FINISHING, S.A., is dedicated to the textile finishing and two-sided printing sector. The project he proposes contemplates the R+D of a MYDrap textile prototype (napkins and placemats, seamless) using recycled cotton from textile waste from the clothing industry and own waste. The aim is to research, develop and test various compositions of recycled fabrics to produce the prototypes, as well as specific substances (such as sustainable glues and lacquers) necessary for their optimal production process. Pilot tests and quality tests will be carried out to evaluate the textile product and the process, ensuring viability, feasibility, sustainability, production and efficiency of the final product.

110,000 eurosThe main objective of the project is the research and development of a new MYDrap textile prototype made of recycled cotton from the recovery of textile waste from third parties and its own. This project has an impact on the following specific objectives: -Research into recycled cotton fabrics, analysis of possible combinations of fabrics, weight, structure, among others; as a study of new substances necessary to optimize the process of preparing fabrics (sustainable glues and lacquer).-Design and development of materials and prototypes (50% recycled cotton fiber) involved in the project.
