Investment project in specific weaving technology for the production of new sustainable textile articles from recycled yarns with a substantial contribution to sustainability
PRTR Call for Proposals Project
The project presented by TEXTIL TAPIAS, S.L., a company dedicated to weaving, is developed in a single location at the facilities of the applicant entity, specifically in Puig-Reig (Barcelona). The investment project consists of incorporating 15 new advanced looms that are capable of processing recycled yarns from textile waste from clothing and polyester to obtain a new range of sustainable textile items (Denim, Transtex and high-end bags). The new looms will make it possible to work with 25-30% recycled yarns, translating into a saving of virgin raw material of around 27,000 kg/year and reducing defective products and textile waste by 30%, approximately 6,000 kg/year according to estimates.
