1st (temporary) economic technician in the Area of Conservation and Restoration of Ecosystems

To effectively support the economic monitoring of projects financed with European funds in the area. Specifically, it will be responsible for the economic control of the LIFE WETLANDS projects (see annex 1), LIFE Custodia, LIFE ECOREST, and other projects with European funding that may be awarded.

  • Economic and financial management of the projects of the Area financed with European funds: control of expenses executed within the framework of each project, compilation and filing of supporting documentation and inclusion in the expense control tool of each project.
  • Review of eligibility for all project expenditures, including those of partners.
  • Preparation of procurement proposals, including the management of public tenders.
  • Provide financial support to the project team and the FB Sub-Directorates.
  • Support and collaboration in the process of auditing project expenditures.
  • Support in the preparation of reports and reports to the coordinators of the Areas involved and to the Sub-directorates of the FB.
  • Preparation of proposals for improvement and contribution to the better performance of the tasks of evaluation, monitoring and economic control of the projects.
  • Any other tasks related to the above.
  • University degree (also former Diplomas and Bachelor’s Degrees) in Social Sciences, Business Administration and Management, Economics and/or Business, Political and Administration Sciences or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the performance of tasks similar to those described above.
  • Experience and training in management and economic justification of community funds.
  • Experience and/or training in the public sector and public sector contracting law.
  • Intermediate level of English (B2 or equivalent)
  • Knowledge or experience in accounting.
  • Fixed-term temporary contract for the execution of projects financed with European Union Funds (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with the professional category of FIRST TECHNICIAN.
  • Gross Annual Salary: €33,373.05.
  • Job location: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Expected duration: until March 2036.
