PRTR Call for Proposals Project
The project aims to replace a single-layer blow-molded extrusion line with a three-layer line for the manufacture of HDPE drums. This technology will allow the incorporation of recycled materials in the intermediate or outer layers of the drum, while the inner layer, in contact with the final product, will remain made of virgin material. The main purpose is to reduce the consumption of virgin raw materials, encourage the use of recycled materials without compromising product quality or properties, and actively contribute to the circular economy.

822.471 €The general objective of the project is to implement a three-layer extrusion blow line to introduce recycled materials in the production of HDPE drums, thus reducing the consumption of raw materials. This incorporation of recycled HDPE materials (from third parties) in the manufacture of drums will be done without compromising their mechanical or aesthetic properties, thus reducing dependence on virgin plastics.
From a scientific-technological point of view, it is intended to:
- Implement three-layer technology to optimize the integration of recycled materials.
- Ensure the quality of the final product by using inner layers of virgin material.
- Improve the efficiency of the production process in terms of sustainability and waste reduction.
