The main objective of the project is the design and development of a new line for the recycling and revaluation of 100% of the components that make up fishing nets with antifouling treatment. In the first stage of execution, by means of a friction separation treatment to separate heavy metals from polymers, they intend to treat 100% of the nets received, corresponding to a volume of 1,200 tons per year, and obtaining a percentage of organic components remaining after the separation process of 0.5%. The polymer obtained will be in pellet format, which will be marketed as recycled raw material. Once the project has been stabilised, it is expected that the new line for the recovery of fishing net waste with antifouling can treat 3,600 tonnes of fishing nets/year.
