New process for determining the chemical recycling of the non-recyclable fraction of PET

PRTR Call for Proposals Project

The main objective is to analyze, parameterize and study a new packaging scheme for tray and opaque PET to obtain a new material that is suitable for chemical recycling, allowing to establish a new process that increases the amount of complex PET destined for recycling. This objective will be achieved by studying the different conditions to which tray and opaque PET are subjected, using recovery and transformation technologies to ensure the quality parameters necessary for a subsequent chemical recycling process.
