Investment project for the industrialisation of new sustainable sack lines

PRTR Call for Proposals Project

The project focuses on investing in a process that allows the manufacture at an industrial level of a new 100% paper sack, with high resistance to water and humidity, for the packaging of construction material, with which it is expected to obtain a new solution that allows dispensing with plastic film, guaranteeing the impermeability of the packaging and rapid filling. therefore, new technology is required in the manufacturing phase of the bag tubes (pipe and printer).

The main objective of this project is to reduce the use of plastics in the industrial manufacture of bags for the construction sector (transport of mortar, clay, putty).

Currently these bags include a polyethylene (PE) sheet that guarantees the impermeability of the container. The project proposes a technological solution that allows the manufacture of these products by eliminating this plastic sheet and replacing it with a water-based resin/varnish that, when applied to the bag, allows it to be recycled as a mono-material product. In order to industrialise this range of products, it is necessary to invest in a technology through investment in two machines (pipe and printer).
