Implementation of new processes for saving plastic in the manufacture of PET containers for cleaning products

PRTR Call for Proposals Project

The N2PET project contemplates the realization of investments aimed at protecting the environment, specifically, in terms of the manufacture of PET containers of lower grammage, through the incorporation of nitrogen during the filling of the containers, which will reduce the consumption of raw materials and waste generation, achieving a saving of the PET of the container close to 10% of plastic for each machine installed. which will contribute to environmental protection.

The main objective of the project is to reduce the consumption of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in the manufacture of packaging for a line of floor mopping products.

It will be carried out by reducing the grammage of PET containers by incorporating nitrogen thanks to investments in equipment that allows liquid nitrogen to be dosed after filling, which will reduce the consumption of raw materials and the generation of waste thanks to the improvement of efficiency in the use of materials.
