The CABALGA II project aims to recover and conserve marine biodiversity through active restoration actions and mitigation of the impacts derived from artisanal fishing.
To achieve this objective, the project is structured in six specific objectives.
OE1. To promote synergies between the different stakeholders of the project (scientific, fisheries and social) for their contribution to the recovery and management of marine ecosystems.
OE2. Contribute to mitigating the impacts of artisanal fishing and actively restore benthic communities on the coast and marine protected areas.
OE3. Study and use innovative technological solutions for the monitoring and follow-up of restoration interventions.
OE4. To raise awareness and promote environmental awareness among young people and society in general, highlighting the role of the fishing sector in marine conservation.
OE5. Ensure controls and project management effectively and efficiently.
OE6. Disseminate all the actions of the project in an orderly manner through the different media.
RIDE II. Innovative and inclusive measures for the recovery and conservation of benthic communities in the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Cantabrian Sea.
