The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment has participated through the Biodiversity Foundation in The South Summit meeting, an event held from last Wednesday until today, in La N@ve, Madrid. This forum has become the largest meeting point for professionals and entrepreneurs from different sectors. The most promising startups from southern Europe, the Mediterranean and Latin America, the most powerful international investors and many leading corporations have met there.
The Ministry’s stand, dedicated to the Emprendeverde Network, has been visited by 600 entrepreneurs interested in green business, within the framework of a meeting that this year has had 275 speakers, and more than 12,000 attendees of more than 100 nationalities.
The Red emprendeverde space was attended by twelve entrepreneurs and three investors from the platform. In addition, during the three days of the event, the stand has had a sample of twelve other products or services from entrepreneurs of the Network. Six other entrepreneurs have also had the opportunity to participate in the speednetworking organized by Spain Startup within the framework of South Summit 2016.
The Emprendeverde Network is an initiative of the Biodiversity Foundation, co-financed by the European Social Fund, to promote the creation and consolidation of companies or new lines of business in activities related to the environment and channel investment towards sustainable economic activities. It currently has more than 7,800 members.
