6th meeting of the Advisory Council of the Biodiversity Foundation

 The Advisory Council of the Biodiversity Foundation met today at the headquarters of the Foundation, in its sixth meeting since its creation, to discuss the evolution of the projects, address governance issues and transfer new ideas in terms of communication and awareness-raising.

Thus, the director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, highlighted some initiatives launched in recent months such as collaboration with the scientific sector, the celebration of the third anniversary of the Spanish Business and Biodiversity Initiative or the presentation of the project “Integrated, innovative and participatory management of the Natura 2000 Network in the marine environment (LIFE IP-PAF INTEMARES)”, submitted to the LIFE 2016 call, in which there has been an innovative participatory process that has included 116 contributions from almost 50 scientific, fisheries, conservationist and business organizations that have improved the final proposal and the identification of a project.

The Advisory Council of the Biodiversity Foundation, which participates altruistically, is made up of 15 personalities of recognised prestige from various sectors related to the aims and principles of action of the Biodiversity Foundation.
