Within the framework of the IV World Water Forum, the Follow-up Commission of the Memorandum of Understanding for Spain-Mexico cooperation in the field of water resources, signed in Mexico on 23 September, has been constituted.

Both countries establish as lines of work the sustainable use of water and modernization for agriculture; the strengthening of business relationships in the water sector, and the implementation of sustainable water policies by basin.

In addition, the Monitoring Committee requests to promote the organisation of a business meeting between Spain and Mexico in which specific cooperation projects would be defined in accordance with the established priorities. This meeting would take place in Mexico City during the month of May of this year.

With the constitution of this Monitoring Commission, a further step is taken in the will to continue working and strengthening business relations between the two countries.
