Reforesta and FCPN (Federation of Associations to Know and Protect Nature), with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, continue this weekend with the autumn season of the “Reforestations 2010” Program.
On Saturday, October 16, a day is scheduled in the Pedriza Park to carry out new volunteer forestry activities, among which the search for seeds of acorns, cork oaks and holm oaks stand out.
Those interested in collaborating can register by sending an email to veronica.orosa@reforesta.es, with their name, ID, telephone number and age. They can also call 91 804 65 09, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The meeting point will be the door of the Manzanares el Real City Council and the scheduled time for the activity is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with Rubén as the contact person in the field.
This day, which will take place in 2010, in which the reforested area will be increased by a minimum of 1.5 hectares, is a continuation of the reforestation work begun in February 2009 in La Pedriza (Madrid), an occasion that was propitious to carry out a reforestation with holm oaks and cork oaks.
Next autumn, 400 seedlings of various native forest species are planned to be planted.
