Agreement with the Spanish Network for Rural Development

Share on:

The Biodiversity Foundation and the Spanish Network for Rural Development (REDR) have signed a collaboration agreement, within the framework of the Land Stewardship Platform, to promote this conservation tool and the development of our depopulated rural areas.

The purpose of this new alliance is to create a communication channel between both entities for the exchange of information, the analysis of common lines of work and the dissemination of actions, having among its priority purposes to contribute to the awareness of the population, especially in terms of rural depopulation, highlighting biodiversity.

With this agreement, the Foundation is committed to collaborating in the dissemination of the contents analysed in the meetings with the ENRD; involve Local Action Groups in the framework of the Terrestrial Space Governance Strategy and  marine of the Natura 2000 Network, as well as in the participation workshops for the preparation and updating of management plans; and to participate in a coordinated manner in the National Rural Network, of which we have been an active part since its creation in 2013, through the specific Working Groups whose conclusions report to the Executive Committee of said Network.

For its part, the ENRD will participate annually in the Participation Committee of the Land Stewardship Platform and will collaborate in the dissemination of the contents analysed in the meetings with the Foundation, through its communication channels. In addition, it will promote access to the contents of our calls, especially that of the Empleaverde Programme, among the Local Action Groups.
