During his first appearance before the Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Environment of the Congress of Deputies, Minister Miguel Arias Cañete explained that, with regard to the protection of the Natural Environment, the Ministry will review the state regulatory framework and improve the management of the network of National Parks and the Natura 2000 Network. Likewise, Arias Cañete has reported that, in close collaboration with the Biodiversity Foundation, his department will call for grants and develop activities to improve the conservation of natural heritage and biodiversity.
