àšlast days to submit nominations for the Biodiversity Foundation Awards

Share on:

Last April, the Biodiversity Foundation announced the first edition of the Biodiversity Foundation Awards, awards that aim to recognise the work of all those people and organisations that, with their work, contribute to the sustainable development of the rural and fishing environment, as well as to the conservation and knowledge of natural heritage and biodiversity.

Endowed with a total amount of 100,000 euros, the awards are presented in partnership with a campaign that encourages entrepreneurs and creators to publicise their environmental projects: “If you have undertaken an economic activity that contributes to maintaining the ecological values of your territory; if you belong to an organization that is developing a project linked to the conservation of the environment; if through a photograph, a documentary, a report or a literary work you have managed to capture the challenges and opportunities associated with sustainable development. You are a candidate for the Biodiversity Foundation Awards”.

The novelty of these awards, which include the Reporting Awards and the Photography Award that the Foundation had been organizing, is the creation of the Leadership and Innovation modality, through which it is intended to recognize the contribution to the generation of wealth and the quality of employment in rural areas. Specifically, it is worth highlighting the category of Women in rural areas, in which leadership and professional performance in activities related to this field will be valued, among other aspects, as well as the contribution to the labor improvements of women in rural areas.

Those interested can send their applications through the www.premiosfundacionbiodiversidad.es website, until July 31. This space, which works as a platform for communication and environmental awareness, collects all the works and projects of the creators who have participated in this contest so far.
