The XX International Gourmet Club Exhibition was the setting today for the presentation of the awards to people, companies and institutions that are committed to organic agriculture and livestock. The awards, organized by Ecogourmets and the Biodiversity Foundation with the collaboration of the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Spanish Society of Organic Agriculture, have been extended in this edition to 12 modalities, of which six have a financial endowment of 3,000 euros.

The awards have been granted to the best productive company in the Spanish market, to the best exporting productive company, to the organic food cooperative, to the best organic farmer in the main title, as well as to the most outstanding organic farmer and the most relevant journalistic work published in any media on organic food. In addition, the prizes without economic endowment have been awarded to the best company in large stores, the most outstanding company in research and technological innovation, as well as the most outstanding specialized store in the field of organic food. The work has also been recognized to the best association of organic food consumers, to the most outstanding regulatory council or certification and control body operating in Spain and, finally, to the person, association or public or private entity that has stood out the most in its support of organic food.
