The Minister of the Environment, Cristina Narbona, accompanied by the president of Iberia, Fernando Conte, and the director of the Biodiversity Foundation, María Artola, presented this morning the campaign “Ten recommendations for sustainable tourism”, which will be launched during the summer period.
This initiative was promoted by the Ministry of the Environment, the Biodiversity Foundation and Iberia and aims to raise awareness and awareness among citizens, promoting responsible behaviour and good environmental practices during the summer holidays.
For the implementation of this initiative, Iberia will place an informative brochure in the pockets of aircraft seats during the summer period of 2006. These pieces contain a decalogue on sustainable tourism with practical advice for tourists to become aware of what they should or should not do in their destinations and why their actions can endanger the biological wealth of the place they are visiting.
