The Minister of the Environment, Cristina Narbona, presented today in Madrid, coinciding with World Environment Day, the awareness campaign against climate change “Cambia”, which the European Commission has launched jointly in all the member countries of the European Union.
The presentation ceremony was also attended by the Secretary of State for European Affairs, Alberto Navarro; the Secretary General for the Prevention of Pollution and Climate Change, Arturo Gonzalo Aizpiri, the Director of the Representation of the European Commission in Spain, José Luis González Vallvé, and the Director of the European Parliament Office in Spain, Fernando Carbajo.
The campaign, based on the slogan “You control climate change”, wants to get citizens to modify their daily habits in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming.
This initiative provides fifty simple tips that, when put into practice by citizens, will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. The practical recommendations are grouped into four different blocks and support the slogans of “go down”, “turn off”, “recycle” and “walk”.
