Aimed at students in the last two years of information sciences (journalism), the project is part of the EFE Foundation’s training programs, with the collaboration of EFEverde, the global environmental journalism platform of the EFE agency and has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation.

The initiative will allow six young journalists to specialize in a field of information that is increasingly in demand by society.

To be eligible for this scholarship, which has an endowment of 600 euros per month, applicants must send a cover letter, CV, photocopy of the academic record and enrolment of the last year, as well as a certificate accrediting the level of English at fundacion@efe.es (Ref: BIODIVERSITY-EFE Scholarship).

The internships of each scholarship recipient will be carried out in the delegations of the EFE Agency in: Aragón (Zaragoza), Canary Islands (Tenerife), Castilla La Mancha (Toledo), Valencian Community (Alicante) and Madrid (two) in the central newsroom of EFEverde.

The deadline for applications is 15 February 2011 and the list of candidates selected for the interview will be published on 18 February 2011 on the website of the EFE Foundation, the Biodiversity Foundation and EFEverde.
