At the opening, which was attended by the mayor of Seville, Alfredo Sánchez Monteseirín, “Living Home” was also opened, a sample of domestic life products designed in an environmentally friendly way.
On Friday, November 26, in Seville, the Casa de la Ciencia de Sevilla, of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and the Biodiversity Foundation presented “Emisióncero”, a week of cinema and debates that, through the screening of documentaries, conferences and round tables, seeks solutions for a sustainable life.
The presentation of the cycle was chaired by the mayor of Seville, Alfredo Sánchez Monteseirín, in the company of the institutional coordinator of the CSIC in Andalusia, Fernando Hiraldo; the director of “Emisióncero”, Ángel Cano; and the Director of Training, Awareness and Communication of the Biodiversity Foundation, Julia Vera.
As part of the inauguration, an exhibition of products designed and manufactured following sustainable criteria has also been opened. The exhibition, which is called “Living Home”, aims to bring citizens closer to environmentally responsible domestic consumption alternatives.
The Biodiversity Foundation collaborates in the organization of the cycle carried out by the Despierta Cultural Association, as it did in the previous edition, during June 2009, in four venues in Madrid.
The House of Science is located in the Peru Pavilion, Avda. María Luisa, s/n, Seville. The complete programme of the cycle can be consulted on www.emisioncero.net
