The second edition of the Green Impulses Lab, which began today at the headquarters of the Biodiversity Foundation, focuses on sustainable tourism, with the idea of supporting 18 entrepreneurs who are in the creation phase of a company focused on the green and blue economy sectors, focusing on projects that promote sustainable tourism.

On this first day we have organized a round table with five representatives of entrepreneurial projects in the sustainable tourism sector; Pedro Aizpun Alonso, founder and executive director of A{2h}de, Silvia Prado, from Artemisa, Nuria Mohedano, representing the travel agency and company of nature interpreter guides Caminos del Guadiana, Juan Martín Bermúdez, from Casa Martinete, and Victor García, from Quei Vitorino.

After the round table, the training programme by Enviroo began, focused on promoting the development of environmental projects by entrepreneurs through tools, skills and competences with which to promote environmental innovation and sustainability. The initiative will enable participants who receive this training to create their own company and/or find a job within the green or blue economy.

Training with a focus on social innovation

The face-to-face training of this program will take place from September 10 to 13 and from October 15 to 18 in Madrid. A total of 51 hours of training that will help entrepreneurs to lay the strategic foundations of communication and marketing in the environmental sector for each of the entrepreneurial projects, in addition to providing all kinds of resources around green purchasing.

There will be intense morning and afternoon sessions accompanied by specialists in each of the topics to be discussed, with specific experience in training and support for the creation of companies.

The sessions, with a focus on social innovation, will be eminently participatory, practical and priority will be given to ‘in situ’ work and teamwork for the creation of companies. Participants will learn to apply the techniques, strategies and tools derived from Business Design and Lean Start-Up, implement ICTs in the development of a sustainable tourism business project, make a business plan or seek financing, among other aspects. They will also learn about practical cases and successful experiences, visit sustainable tourism companies, and discover the latest trends in the sector, as well as being able to immerse themselves and experiment in an intensive program with innovative dynamics.
