Entrepreneurs and investors from sectors linked to the environment meet at the 1st Green Investment Forum

The Biodiversity Foundation, together with the Spanish Association of Business Angels (AEBAN), IESE Business School, and the European Social Fund, has organized the 1st Green Investment Forum.

The objective of this meeting was the presentation of entrepreneurs from the Emprendeverde Network to investors to promote their financial support for environmental projects.

The Director General of Environmental Quality and Assessment and the Natural Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, Guillermina Yanguas, participated in the presentation ceremony, together with Juan Roure, President of AEBAN and Director of the Network of Private Investors and Family Offices of IESE Business School, and Begoña Cristeto, CEO of the National Innovation Company (ENISA).

The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, closed the meeting by urging investors to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in an expanding sector, which is sustainable and profitable.

On the other hand, the investors and business angels, Miquel Costa and Pere Mayol, have taken stock of their extensive investment experience in the environmental sector

The Emprendeverde Network is encouraging the creation and consolidation of companies linked to the environment, promoting investment in sustainable economic activities. As an example, the five projects presented within the framework of this first Green Investment Forum: Naturix, a company that is taking a further step in the recovery of the rural world by working in livestock, agriculture and aquaculture; Enviroo, which has launched a job portal specialising in the environment; Sustainable Reference, a platform that will be the first ranking in the sector; Join Up, a company that has developed innovative mobile phone applications for taxi sharing, and Vivainnova, creators of innovative printed electronic products.
