Germany, committed to the preservation of biodiversity

Share on:

The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety has taken advantage of the XI Conference of the Parties (COP11) to the Convention on Biological Diversity to showcase the new activities aimed at the German government to integrate businesses and companies into the goals set out in the German strategic plan on biodiversity.

This is a reflection of Germany’s commitment to host COP9 in Bonn. And as an example of this dynamic effort, the German government is carrying out a new dynamic platform for institutions and companies with the aim of creating actions aimed at environmental conservation. In this way, it is intended to promote exchange and cooperation as an open network and interface for other organizations or platforms such as “Biodiversity In Good Company” or “Econsense”.

This dynamic platform will be officially launched in February next year, on the occasion of the National Forum on Biodiversity to be held in Germany. In addition, TEEB Germany is progressing under the title “Natural Germany Capital – TEEB Germany”.
